5M Electromechanical Mast

Vehicle-Mounted Telescopic Mast for Desert Terrain Surveillance and Defence Deployments

The Electromechanical Mast is a six-stage, vehicle-mounted telescopic mast designed and supplied by System Controls for defence surveillance and payload elevation in desert terrain operations. Extending to 4 metres and retracting in under four minutes, it supports a head load of 60 kg and a maximum payload capacity of 300 kg, with pendant, PC-based and indoor control panel options and manual override as standard. Powered at 24 VDC and built to MIL 810 D humidity standards, it is engineered for reliable operation across the full range of Indian defence field deployment conditions.

01

Rapid Tactical Deployment

The Electromechanical Mast extends from 1 metre retracted height to 4 metres in under four minutes, enabling rapid elevation of surveillance and communication payloads from a vehicle-mounted platform. The system operates while the vehicle is static and is designed for fast, repeatable deployment and retraction in demanding tactical field conditions.

02

High Payload Capacity

Designed to carry a head load of 60 kg with an overall maximum payload capacity of 300 kg, the mast supports heavy surveillance sensors, electro-optical systems and communication antenna assemblies without compromise to structural integrity or operational stability in desert terrain environments.

03

Flexible Control Architecture

Three control interface options are available: pendant control for operator convenience in the field, PC-based control for integration with vehicle command systems, and an indoor unit for shelter-based operation. Manual override is provided as standard, ensuring the mast can be operated and recovered under all conditions including control system failure.

04

MIL Standards Build Quality

The mast assembly carries a MIL standards finish and is built to defence-grade material and construction specifications. All components including the electromechanical drive, control electronics and structural assembly are integrated and validated to meet the reliability and durability requirements of sustained field deployment.

The Electromechanical Mast extends to 4 metres ±20 mm from a retracted height of 1 metre. The six-stage telescopic assembly deploys in under four minutes from a vehicle-mounted position in desert terrain operations.

The mast supports a head load of 60 kg with an overall maximum payload capacity of 300 kg, suitable for surveillance sensors, electro-optical systems and communication antenna assemblies on vehicle-mounted defence platforms.

An electromechanical mast is a motor-driven telescopic elevation system used in defence to raise surveillance sensors, radar antennas and communication equipment to operational height from a vehicle-mounted platform. System Controls Electromechanical Mast extends to 4 metres in under four minutes, carrying payloads up to 300 kg in desert terrain operations.

The System Controls Electromechanical Mast deploys from 1 metre retracted height to 4 metres extended height in under four minutes, with manual override available for emergency recovery in all conditions.

The Electromechanical Mast operates on 24 VDC input, directly compatible with standard defence vehicle electrical systems without requiring additional power conversion.

Yes. Manual override is provided as standard, allowing the mast to be extended, retracted and recovered by the operator directly in the event of a control system or power interruption.

The mast is designed for vehicle-mounted application and configured for static operation when deployed. Integration requirements for specific vehicle platforms should be discussed with the System Controls engineering team, who can advise on mounting interface and power supply compatibility.
