It delivers 300,000 cd peak visible output, matching the light output of the DFLL Dual Filament Landing Light in an LED light source configuration. Precision rugged steel gear trains housed in a compact package provide retraction, extension and rotation through DC motors and a highly reliable slip ring rated to withstand operational wind loads. Limit switches cut off and restore power as required across the deployment cycle. The light rotates continuously through 360° with visible or infrared illumination selected on in the extended position, with full illumination in both modes available across the +90° to -90° rotation arc. For platforms requiring the highest visible output in the LED Landing Light range, the 3L cd is the correct selection.
