The System Controls Tripod 60kg is a lightweight, rugged and compact foldable aluminium tripod designed for mounting payloads up to 60 kg in defence and aerospace field deployments. Adjusting from 750mm to 1350mm in height on uneven surfaces using swiveling feet and a spirit level bubble indicator, it weighs just 5 kg maximum and folds to 850mm for transport. A quick release mechanism in the top plate enables rapid payload mounting and demounting, a mid level spreader provides field stability and an interface plate is provided for payload connection. Available in paint or powder coating finish to customer requirements.
What is the Tripod 60kg?
The Tripod 60kg is a light-weight, rugged and compact module for mounting payload up to 60 kg in field defence and aerospace deployments. It is a foldable unit with a flat base on each leg, fabricated using aluminium alloy for most components and stainless steel where applicable. A quick release mechanism is provided in the top plate for rapid payload mounting. An interface plate is provided for connecting the tripod to the payload. The single-stage design adjusts between 750mm minimum and 1350mm maximum operating height. Swiveling feet allow stable deployment on uneven surfaces and a spirit level bubble indicator confirms accurate leveling. A mid level spreader is available for additional stability. The tripod can be painted or powder coated as per customer requirements.

Uneven Surface Deployment with Swiveling Feet
Swiveling feet on each leg allow stable deployment on uneven, rocky and unprepared field surfaces without requiring a flat ground plane. Combined with the spirit level bubble indicator, this enables field operators to achieve a correctly leveled payload mounting platform quickly on any terrain encountered during defence and aerospace field operations.
Quick Release Mechanism for Rapid Payload Operations
The quick release mechanism in the top plate enables rapid attachment and detachment of payloads without tools, reducing setup and pack-down time during time-sensitive field operations.
