The azimuth axis supports N x 360° continuous rotation as standard, with reliable slip rings provided for data link, video link and power supply continuity to the payload.

The PTU 60 kg is rated for continuous operation in wind conditions up to 100 knots, the highest wind rating in the System Controls pan and tilt unit range. Combined with IP66 sealing, MIL STD 810F compliance for rain, salt, fog and fungus and JSS 55555 L2 solar radiation qualification, it is engineered for sustained operation in the most demanding coastal, desert, high-altitude and naval deployment environments.

Optional Payload Stabilization

Payload stabilization is available as a configurable option, enabling active compensation for platform motion on vehicle-mounted, naval and other mobile installations. This extends the PTU 60 kg's operational capability from static ground deployments to dynamic platform applications where sensor pointing stability during platform movement is required.

Continuous 360-Degree Azimuth with Full Elevation Coverage

The azimuth axis supports N x 360° continuous rotation as standard with reliable slip rings for data link, video link and power supply continuity. The elevation axis covers ±90°, the widest elevation range in the System Controls PTU range, enabling comprehensive area coverage for surveillance, tracking and antenna pointing across both horizontal and vertical threat axes.

Comprehensive Environmental Qualification

The PTU is validated across a comprehensive range of environmental conditions: IP66 enclosure, 100 knot operational wind, MIL STD 810F for rain, salt, fog and fungus, JSS 55555 L2 category for solar radiation, and sand and dust testing at 8.9 m/s velocity across temperatures from 23°C to 70°C for 6 hours each. Power-on health check monitoring enables rapid system status verification before and during field deployment.
