Single Axis Pedestal Aslesha

Precision Single Axis Surveillance Pedestal for Ground-Based Scanners, Trackers and Radar Systems

The Single Axis Pedestal Aslesha is a compact, high-precision azimuth positioner designed and supplied by System Controls for surveillance scanners, automatic tracking systems and ground-based surveillance platforms. Carrying up to 110 kg payload at a system weight of less than 25 kg, the Aslesha delivers ±0.1° angular accuracy and ±0.001° readout accuracy across a programmable speed range of 1 to 25 RPM in 0.5 RPM steps. Driven by a BLDC motor with hollow shaft harmonic drive, powered at 24 VDC and compliant with MIL STD 461E, MIL STD 810F and JSS 55555 L3, it is engineered for sustained precision performance in India’s most demanding defence surveillance environments.

About the Product

What is the
Aslesha?

The IFF Aarudhra 150 kg is a single axis pedestal assembly designed to perform three critical functions in an IFF radar system deployment:The Single Axis Pedestal Aslesha is a precision azimuth positioner designed for surveillance scanning, automatic target tracking and ground-based surveillance system integration. It is built around a BLDC motor with hollow shaft harmonic drive, delivering zero backlash precision gear reduction for accurate and repeatable azimuth positioning across its full 1 to 25 RPM programmable speed range.

01

High Payload Capacity in a Lightweight Package

The Aslesha carries up to 110 kg of surveillance or radar payload at a total system weight of less than 25 kg, delivering an exceptional payload-to-weight ratio for ground-based defence platform integration. This compact, lightweight design makes it suitable for rapid field deployment and integration onto mobile and fixed-site surveillance platforms without significant structural modification.

02

Wind Load Resilience for Field Deployments

The Aslesha delivers 40 Nm of torque at 80 kmph wind load, maintaining stable, accurate antenna and sensor positioning in exposed field environments. The hollow shaft drive architecture and rugged construction ensure reliable operation across the full range of wind load conditions encountered in ground-based defence surveillance deployments.

03

Built-in Diagnostics for Field Reliability

The Aslesha incorporates a comprehensive built-in diagnostics suite covering online health monitoring, offline fault testing, power-on self-test and desktop test software. This enables field operators and maintenance teams to assess system health, detect faults and validate performance without specialist test equipment, reducing downtime and support burden in operational deployments.

04

Defence-Grade Standards Compliance

The Aslesha is qualified to MIL STD 461E for EMI/EMC, MIL STD 810F for environmental conditions and JSS 55555 L3 class for Indian defence environmental standards. Operating on 24 VDC with RS-422 communication interface, it integrates directly into standard defence surveillance and command systems without additional interface hardware.
