LASER FOR STAND-OFF DISPOSAL ORDNANCE (LORDS)

Project LORDS is a Laser Support System meant for diffusing an explosive hazard of an object of 6cm x 6cm size at a range of 30m to 250m. This is a vehicle mounted System which enables deployment at any required sites. The execution of this Project encompasses a clear study and understanding of multiple disciplines of engineering like Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Thermal, Structural, Automobile, Electro-optical and Manufacturing. Also, since the System has to be qualified to meet defence requirements, an elaborate quality plan was required to be implemented right from selectionof components to the realization of the fully integrated System. The Laser Support System meets EMI/EMC requirements as per MIL.461E and environmental requirements as per JSS 55555 as applicable to vehicle mounted outdoor systems.

LORDS System was on Display by LASTEC in the DEFEXPO 2014 held  at Delhi.
