Electromechanical Masts for Defence & Surveillance Applications

System Controls designs and supplies rugged telescopic masts engineered for defence surveillance, radar elevation and tactical communications. Available in electromechanical and hydraulic configurations, these masts are built to operate in extreme environmental conditions, comply with MIL-STD 810 and JSS 55555 standards, and support rapid deployment from vehicle, ground or rooftop platforms.

Purpose-Built Elevation for Mission-Critical Payloads

Tactical operations demand elevation systems that deploy fast, carry significant payloads reliably and survive harsh operating environments. System Controls masts are engineered to meet these requirements directly, with configurations supporting electro-optical sensors, radar surveillance systems and communication antennas across both mobile and fixed-site deployments.

Both mast variants in this range are designed and validated to defence environmental standards. The electromechanical variant is optimised for vehicle-mounted desert operations. The hydraulic variant supports heavy payloads across vehicle, ground and rooftop installations with a 17-metre extended height and 24-hour operational endurance.

System Controls offers Pan and Tilt positioners across a full payload spectrum, from lightweight compact units for rapid-deployment surveillance systems to heavy-duty configurations supporting large multi-spectral sensor suites and radar antennas on fixed ground or naval installations.

Yes. System Controls positioners are designed for seamless integration with electro-optical, infrared, laser rangefinder and radar payloads. Our engineering team provides full system integration support including interface design, embedded software development and on-site commissioning.

Yes. System Controls' stabilised Pan and Tilt systems and 3-Axis positioners are specifically engineered for mobile platforms including armoured vehicles, naval vessels and airborne systems, with active stabilization compensating for platform-induced motion and vibration.

For UAV and drone applications, a lightweight multi-axis gimbal is the correct solution. UAV gimbals compensate for flight-induced movement and vibration, keeping imaging or sensor payloads stable and precisely pointed during ISR, border monitoring and persistent surveillance missions.

System Controls serves DRDO, HAL and other defence public sector undertakings across India. The company also holds Production Agency status under Transfer of Technology agreements with DRDO and ISRO.

A stabilised Pan and Tilt system uses inertial sensors and active servo control to compensate for platform motion, keeping the payload locked onto a target despite vehicle vibration or airframe movement. A non-stabilised system provides precise pointing on fixed or low-vibration platforms where active stabilization is not required.

A Pan and Tilt controls two axes, horizontal pan and vertical tilt, suited for most ground surveillance tasks. A 3-Axis positioner adds roll control for full hemispherical coverage without gimbal lock, required for airborne platforms, missile seekers and advanced targeting systems.

Lead times vary by product configuration and order volume. Contact our defence sales team directly for project-specific timelines, technical consultation and RFQ processing.

Beyond defence, surveillance positioners are used in border security, critical infrastructure protection, aerospace research, naval operations, smart city surveillance, satellite ground stations and industrial inspection systems.
